Longest High-Five Chain!
On the morning of Saturday, June 15th, FivePoint and the City of Irvine are celebrating the recent opening of the beautiful, 1.5 mile Bosque trail and native landscape park located within the Orange County Great Park… and doing so in epic fashion: by attempting to break a current world record for “Longest High-Five Chain!”
Families, friends, co-workers and neighbors will unite and line up single file within the trail to give the person to their right a high five. The lineup starts at 7 a.m. at the entry at Irvine Blvd. and the chain officially begins at 8 a.m. sharp. The High-Five Chain will extend through the entire Bosque trail to Great Park Blvd. Complimentary coffee/juice/water/donuts, gifts and commemorative t-shirts will also be given out to the first 3,500 attendees who sign up for the free event at highfiveirvine.com.
Here’s additional motivation: For every 100 students/families that we sign up, FivePoint has generously offered to donate $500 toward College Park Elementary School. Now that’s something we can all high-five about, right?
The shared goal is to break the current mark of 3,473 high-five participants (the current record was achieved almost exclusively by students in Arizona) as documented by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2016. Can we recruit an army of College Park students, parents and staff to have a strong presence at this event and be a part of this fun record-breaking historic moment? Of course, we can!
If you’re in, here’s what to do:
-visit HighFiveIrvine.com
-Click Participate and enter name and number of people joining you at the event
-Add COLLEGE PARK ELEMENTARY into the optional “Team/Organization Name” field.
Note: You and your party must sign up and RSVP through the online registration by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 3 and visit a check-in area to confirm your online RSVP under College Park at the June 15th event for us to be eligible for the group-participation donation from FivePoint. Detailed directions, maps and instructions will be emailed to those who sign up as the event gets closer.
Hope to see you there!
